New Seeding: Apply BIO-FLEX® following the placement of the topsoil over the subgrade. The suggested application rate is 100 pounds per 1, 000 square feet with the BIO-FLEX® being nail dragged or tilled into the top 3-4 inches of the topsoil along with your favorite starter fertilizer and seed.
Sod: Prior to the laying of new sod, spread BIO-FLEX® on the sub-soil below the sod at the rate of 50 pounds per 1, 000 square feet. Nail drag the BIO-FLEX® into the top few inches of soil and then lay the new sod. Begin irrigation immediately following the application of the sod.

Flower Beds/Gardens: Spread BIO-FLEX® on the flower bed or garden at the rate of five pounds per 100 square feet and till into the top several inches of the soil.
Irrigation Following Application of Bio Flex®
Proper water management enhances the benefits of BIO-FLEX® particularly the first several weeks after seeding or sodding. For seeded areas, keep the seed bed continuously moist with light frequent sprinklings several times daily. Avoid too much water, as this can cause seed movement and soil erosion. As the seedlings of planting material take root and grow, decrease watering frequency and increase the amount applied each time. In newly sodded areas, both the sod and the underlying soil must be kept moist. If the sod is wet, but the soil below is allowed to dry out, the roots will not penetrate below the original layer of sod and not reach the BIO-FLEX® amended soil.
Remember, your objective is to keep water, BIO-FLEX®, and your other soil amendments in the root zone of the grass for as long as possible. Apply water uniformly and attempt to reduce run off.
