True Pitch has been selected to provide both game and practice mounds for the new Buena Vista Sports Complex, a major project currently under construction in Laredo, Texas. The complex is set to be one of the largest of its kind in the region, offering 10 baseball and softball fields, along with multipurpose fields for soccer, flag football, and rugby.
The Buena Vista Sports Complex, with an estimated budget of $45 million, is part of a long-awaited initiative approved by voters in Laredo. The complex is expected to serve local athletes and attract visitors from across the state, with city officials anticipating over 100 teams visiting on weekends. True Pitch's mounds will be featured on fields designed for both youth and adult leagues, supporting a wide range of competitive play.
Phase One of the project is scheduled to be completed by April 2025, with the focus currently on finishing the fields before moving on to infrastructure such as concession stands and facilities. City leaders, including District 1 Council Member Gilbert Gonzalez and Parks Director JJ Gomez, see the complex as a key part of Laredo’s growth, bringing new opportunities for local businesses and economic development.
The Buena Vista Sports Complex will also include additional amenities such as a playground and, in Phase Two, a water park. True Pitch is pleased to be involved in this significant development and looks forward to contributing to the success of the complex.
